dutchRO was first setup all the way back in 2003 or 2004 I honestly cannot remember at this point. I set it up for a very small group of people who were already from a small community I formed on another game. At this point RO was very new infact the entire concept of MMO was pretty new.

Yeah things were fine for a good 6 months and the server was actually growing, slow yes but everybody knew one another so good times. But then during the summer the server popularity exploded, all of a sudden I found myself in a situtation I never been in. To be honest most of the time I had a blast and really had some good times but I also made many mistakes, which eventually led to the closure of the server.

So here we are in 2021 which would not be my first time retrying to revive the past. I tried rebooting dRO in 2011 aswell. I really did a effort to do so, but again lost intrest to quick because of time constraints. So now the burning question would "why the fuck would it be different this time ?".

It probably won't, thats why I am not advertising this server on the net and its here just to satisfy my own nostalgic needs and to preserve a RO server. Sure I will hand out the site to people I know and I will let them mess around and probably hang out with them if they are on the server and fix things as they go along. But I will keep the server closed to the majority of people. Offcourse actual old dRO veterans I would love to see come back even if its just to park their ass in payon to have a chat.

Also the server is called dutchRO so it was always adressed to the people from the Netherlands, so if you are dutch and wanna have a casual playthrough of RO with some friends you are free to contact me on discord.
